December Focus- Loving God

(I'm using this questions as a guide as part of my personal worship, using the advent wreath and candles as a reminder throughout the month. Perhaps you'll find that useful for your celebration as well. Merry Christmas. NDR)
Scripture Focus: 1 John 4:10 This is love: not that we loved God, but that he loved us and sent his Son as an atoning sacrifice for our sins.
Quote: So how do I come to love God with more of my heart? I wonder whether part of it involves what C.S. Lewis refers to in Mere Christianity as a slow, gradual turning of the self toward God by doing right things both when we feel like it and, more importantly perhaps, when we do not. O to grace how great a debtor, daily I'm constrained to be!
Let thy goodness, like a fetter, bind my wandering heart to thee.
